TIFF Experiential marketing competition - Humber College

As part of the overall requirement for the Event Management program in the Faculty of Business, School of Hospital Recreation and Tourism at Humber College, students are required to submit an assignment for the Marketing and Special Events class EVNT 154. This assignment is a practical assignment to create a Social Media, Digital, and email marketing program for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This assignment is set up like a real-life situation where students form 4-6 person teams and compete to win the assignment. TIFF will partner with Humber in an effort to garner some ideas to increase awareness and ticket sales for TIFF free of charge as part of this assignment in the area of Social Media, Digital, and email marketing

Student teams are expected to thoroughly familiarize themselves with all conditions of TIFF before delivery of their proposal including the potential client's history, brand strategy, brand identity, customer segments and demographics, infrastructure, and service delivery model(s). All proponents are expected to attend the briefing session from TIFF. Each team will form a fictitious marketing agency and they will submit a written response and present their response to the school. Four to Six (4-6) finalists will be selected to present in front of TIFF officials. The top groups are represented in the final.

Social Media, Digital, and email marketing programs will be selected and the winners potentially could be given an opportunity to activate their program with TIFF and each member of the winning team will receive recognition from the Faculty of Business.
